Frequently Asked Questions.

WordPress and Squarespace are website builders that allow you to create a website with relative ease. However, there are a few key differences between the two platforms.

WordPress is open-source software, meaning it is free to use, and you can modify the code however you want. Squarespace, on the other hand, is a paid platform and does not allow you to change the code as easy as WordPress.

If you choose WordPress, even though the CMS is free, you still pay for a developer and designer to set up your website and make things look good. In addition, you need to pay for hosting and other licensing you may utilise.

If you choose Squarespace, you are less likely to need a developer, more a designer to help make things looks good. In addition, Squarespace offers the CMS and hosting together.

Both are reasonable solutions, and choosing one depends on your website and business requirements, but we can chat about that.

WordPress is more versatile but needs regular updating and attention to secure the site. On the other hand, Squarespace is an all-in-one solution with no active manual updating and less chance of being compromised.

A website is usually priced based on the platform you use, the number of pages, the size of the site, number of integrations, functionalities the amount of content that needs to be created.

I like to use the analogy of building a house. We can’t give a quote until we know what exactly needs to be built, from the foundation right through to the finishings.

It’s a simple matter of sitting down and having a chat to get the ball rolling.

We specialise in small to medium sized website. If your website is beyond our capabilities, we can easily refer you on to associates who cater for larger more complex websites. We still are actively involved with the visual branding and design.

That’s OK! Most businesses have this issue. I walk you through the process of identifying content (information) and what is required.

We offer an analytics research report about your industry and top 3-5 competitors. This guides us in identifying appropriate content.

Yes of course. Content preparation can sound terrifying!

I take a collaborative team approach with you, to get that sorted. If needed we engage one of our recommended content developers to assist. This will be discussed in our initial chat.

Good content will keep people coming back to your site, and it will also help you rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs).

Yes certainly! Your first concern should be your web hosting. This is a vital element of a new site.

We’ve partnered up with a leading Sunshine Coast Hosting company.

We offer a range of hosting options and recommendations for WordPress depending on the size of your website and what platform you choose. Squarespace offers its own hosting.

Yes. Having your domain name will add real credibility and help build your brand, making it stand out better in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

I already have a Domain Name.  No worries, we just need access to your account to do all the geeky things we need to do.

I need to register one. That’s OK, we can recommend a reputable company to register your Domain Name.

Tip: Your domain needs to represent or be similar to your business name. So when deciding on a business name check the availability of your domain name (or vice-versa).

We do essential entry-level SEO work such as Meta Titles and Descriptions.

We are not SEO specialists; just like SEO specialists are not graphic designers.
However, we collaborate with SEO experts when needed to keep the ball rolling.

Tip: We offer an analytics research report about your industry and top 3-5 competitors. This guides us in identifying appropriate content.
